| Introduction | "Miskwaadesi" is the Ojibwe word for river turtle. In my favorite Ojibwe story, the turtle craves adventure, the turtle is curious to learn more about the natural world around him, the turtle is invested in his community (and the turtle really likes birds). The turtle represents who I am as a naturalist. |
