| Introduction | Why am I qualified to write this? (i) I was CFO of a private company that recently sold to a public company for $150mm, (ii) I have been Transitional CEO, CFO, COO and on the Board of Directors of a start-up that raised over $16mm of equity - a portion of it from a large venture fund, (iii) I spent 7 years buying and selling over $400mm worth of businesses for a public tech company, (iv) I was an investment banker for 12 years and raised over $2bn of capital for mid-sized companies, and (v) my 9 year old son thinks I know everything (for now) and my wife doesn't think I know anything. |
