Introduction hi welcome to my daily green bar where I am hoping you will find some green smoothie inspiration and general info and tips on greens and green smoothie making. I'm Jane and mother of 2 great kids-22 and 21-also green smoothie fans. I have been making green smoothies now for over a year after thinking about what I was eating and wanting to eat more raw food and more fruit and vegetables-especially leafy greens. I was only 12 kgs overweight but had zero energy and was dragging myself through the day without much interest in anything. The first raw food site I looked at had a demo on green smoothies and straight away I thought-yes -doable/simple/healthy/tasty/easy and it made more sense after reading gs inventor Victoria Boutenko's books. Only after a week of replacing my cooked oats porridge breakfast with a green smoothie I felt completely different. I started craving green smoothies instead of the usual stimulant/ sugar /caffeine cravings so I was eating more raw food. Some days all I wanted was a green smoothie-I usually drink about 1- 2 litres a day. I hope you can find some inspiration here.
