| Introduction | I am a mom who struggles daily to make a happy home for my two boys and husband. Sounds just like everyone else, except our family is different. Between the boys, my husband and I we have eight psychiatric diagnoses including bipolar disorder, schizoaffective disorder, ADHD, Obsessive-Compulsive disorder, Autism, Social Anxiety disorder and more! Despite all that, we make it work. This blog is about my struggle to hold it all together, to be the best parent possible and to stay "sane" when the world would call us all something different. I hope that my story will help connect me with others who struggle similarly, and help others with "neurotypical" families to better understand mental illness and its impact on the family. |
