| Introduction | Hello! I'm Alastair. I'm a copywriter, ambiguously-employed online marketing type, amateur audio producer, inexplicable husband, nauseating optimist and the proud owner of a 3.5 billion-year-old space rock. I enjoy reading thick books under thicker blankets, photographing animals' expressions, pretending not to be SECRETLY THRILLED when walking in the rain, discovering new music or good storytelling in any medium, leaping wholeheartedly into half-formed hobbies, saying "yes" to slightly more than I can afford to say "yes" to, and taking throwaway ideas to ridiculous extremes. If I'm squirming or restless, it's probably because I'm not currently creating an overproduced audio play. If ever start a blog, it will be out of a hypothetical need to become less self-critical as a writer, more emotionally honest as a human, and ultimately make sense of the world when it doesn't quite fit the sentimental, oversimplified stencil outline I'd prepared for it. Such a blog, if it exists, would be a necessary, therapeutic and entirely self-indulgent outlet. Your mileage may vary and swerve and dwindle to a stop with a smokey, expensive-sounding splutter. |
