About me

Gender MALE
Occupation Speech writer and gentleman farmer
Location Walnut Creek, Ohio
Introduction The author was born on a humble hilltop farm in the heart of Ohio’s Amish Country long before that region was a tourist destination and before it became known as one of the most scenic locations in the state. The magnetic words of prominent journalists attracted him to a career of writing and photography and he embarked on adventure “pilgrimages” that led him to interviews in all states, Canada and more than 40 other countries. An award-winning writer, photographer and editor, he returned to the farm after raising a family, and it became his base of operations for a 10-year stint as executive speechwriter for global business leaders. He named the farm to honor the Delaware Native Americans who bent – as a sapling – the 250-year-old oak marker tree that arcs beside the farm entrance. Larry and his wife, Nola, operate the oldest bed & breakfast in Ohio’s Amish Country. He and Nola have six children, 13 grandchildren and are confronting new adventures every day.
