|To be clear, I am not offering you legal advice or entering into an attorney-client relationship by posting entries on this blog. Please consult your attorney or contact me through my website for legal advice. I have been practicing environmental law, including wetlands law, since 1981. For the majority of my career I worked in the Attorney General's Office in the environment department. Most relevant to this blog, I coordinated the wetlands program practice in the AG's office from 1990 to 2006 when I left government service to enter private practice. A more expanded version of my biography and a list of my reported cases is available on my website: http:// www.attorneyjanetbrooks.com. Since 2006 I have written a legal column for the quarterly newsletter of the Connecticut Association of Conservation and Inland Wetlands Commissions (CACIWC). Those articles are available on my website and at the CACIWC website at: www.caciwc.org. I am an avid canoeist on quiet waters in Connecticut, the Adirondacks and Maine. I am also a triathlete.
