| Introduction | I am a single, working mother of three young adults who constantly amaze me with their view of the world and their place in it. Soon, I will be a member of the elite empty nest club and have mixed emotions concerning that. With soon-to-be free time on my hands, I realize there are so many things I want to learn to do: I want to learn to surf, ride a motorcycle, cast a line in a crystal-clear river, camp outdoors, learn to dance (really dance), cook an unforgettable five-course gourmet meal (okay learn to cook), find that breath-taking place on the water to lay my home’s foundation, decide what direction I want my career to go, write the next great American novel, sing in public, skip, lie in bed after the alarm goes off without feeling guilty, drink Champagne for no reason, learn to ski, create an unbelievable back yard, mentor a child, learn to not be afraid of big dogs w/out the aid of therapy, and the list goes on and on. |
