| Introduction | Hi, I'm Joey. Welcome to my blog! Since I love cooking for friends and family, sharing recipes, and teaching friends how to cook, I thought I'd give the blog a try. It seems that every recipe has a story attached to it. It's all about who gave it to me, how I came to discover it, and of course, my personal twist on how to prepare it. I find that cooking brings families and friends together. I learned how to cook from my Mom and I'm sure she felt the same way. Hopefully my blog will embrace that idea. I've never had any formal training, I just watch and read and learn and try. With a family of eleven children, my Mother cooked everyday. So, I used to come home from school and watch her and ask questions. When I moved out, I still called her all the time to ask her for cooking tips and recipe ideas. Now I'm thrilled that people come to ME for those same recipes and ideas. Not only do I enjoy posting recipes that I've created, but also recipes that I've learned from family and friends, from my favorite cookbooks, and of course, from my favorite cooking TV shows.
