Introduction	From the middle of America where the land is flat and there are no oceans, I have found myself living on the knuckle of Japan's semi-mountainous Noto Peninsula where I can walk from my apartment to the sea in two minutes flat. After moving to Japan in July 2009, I started this blog in response to friends and family who wanted to share my adventures in Asia. Now I live and teach high school oral communication in Wajima, a small town trying to keeps its traditions alive through festivals, its morning market, lacquer ware craft, and sake brewing.
