| Introduction | I am trying to get closer and closer to God. The irony of this journey is that it is all backwards. Die to live. Give to receive. The poor are rich. The humble are exalted. This sort of selfless life is not just difficult, it is impossible. Shocked? Don't be. My natural thought, inclinations, responses, reactions, and so forth, are evil. Not that I am a murderer, but on my best behavior, I am comparable. I am imperfect. Very imperfect. But, by the grace of God, I am clean, beautiful, and accepted. It is He inside of me that enables me to live selflessly. Other than all that, I am engaged to a beautiful woman named Madison! The rest of my life? We'll see.... |
