Introduction | Reverend Canon Tanya Vonnegut Beck Vision Facilitator/Transitional Specialist/Empowerment Advocate Experienced spiritual leader, world-traveler, and consultant, the Reverend Canon Tanya Vonnegut Beck is serving St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, Indianapolis, IN as Transitional Priest. Tanya was ordained in 1977 once the General Convention approved ordination of women to the priesthood. This was a new development so there were no full-time Priest positions available to ordained women. Determined to live her calling Tanya served part-time as a Priest while also counseling individuals and consulting with businesses; all while also raising her four children. This unique combination led her to a 40-year journey of empowering people and institutions to find their self-worth and unique purpose. She has facilitated over 20 Episcopal Institutions as they developed a vision for their future. Founded The Julian Center for Women and Families in Indianapolis. Is a former Daniel G. Holbrook Fellow at the Harvard Medical School Mind-Body Institute, where she designed and directed continuing education for interdisciplinary conferences that focused on the power of the Spirit in healing. |
