Introduction	When I moved to Vermont from Queens as a teenager all I could think about was graduating from high school and getting back to the city. I had a wonderful life in Queens, that I had to leave to come to a town that had more cows than people. To keep me here my mom and stepdad bought me a horse. I have to say looking back it was one of the best things that they did for me. That horse and the responsibilities that it came with prepared me for so many things in life. Chrissy (my horse) is one of the reasons that I stayed in Vermont for college. After college, I could have left and gone back to the city that every once in awhile would call me. Instead I stayed, found a job and met my husband. If anyone would have told me that I was going to marry a farmer I would have said that they were crazy!!! I had my life all planned and staying in Vermont, getting married, having kids, and starting a sheep farm were never in the cards. It is funny how life doesn't go as you plan it, but it still works out exactly as it should.
