| Introduction | I have lived a long and interesting life and want to give back to my community. Perhaps I have lived long enough to be thought of as an Elder with some wisdom worth sharing. Given the dysfunction in the larger world, I have thoroughly bought into the slogan: "think globally, act locally." We can actually change the world around us for the better while the wider world does whatever it does for good or ill. And it's best to start with me, "becoming the change I want to see in the world." I hope to keep up a regular posting for as long as I am able to conjure up fresh and interesting thoughts. |

| Favorite movies | I do like the oldies with Bogart, Hepburn, Grant, Tracy, et al. They had interesting plots and great acting. So many of today's movies are driven by special effects, violence, sex, and, above all, car chases. |
