Introduction	My name is Kayla and this is my first attempt at being a truly well rounded, politically informed citizen. Each week, this blog will be updated with new posts concerning different topics encompassing the vast sanctum that is US politics. Hope you find at least one post interesting, or at the very least, entertaining. Here's a little bit about my current political self: - According to a political typology quiz, I am a "Solid Liberal." While I agree that my views tend to swing a little to the left, I don't consider myself a radical liberal of any sort. - I have no political influences, and my only experiences with politics stem from another blogging site called Tumblr, and those experiences are nothing short of terrifying, honestly. -I'm taking this USG class because it is a required credit I need in order to get into UT Austin. I am, however, looking forward to learning a bit more about how the government works. - I have but one hope for this class: to learn enough information about politics to become a well-informed student who can think for herself and form her own opinions. - I ranked "Tribune" with a 5/10 on the civics quiz, and I got 9/12 on the current events quiz.
