About me

Gender Male
Occupation Facilitator of Organized Dialogues
Location Berlin, Germany
Introduction I'm both a practitioner and a theorist of Organized Dialogue - a practicing political scientist. Trained as a mediator, facilitator, and political theorist, my projects include Germany's largest political mediation process (Regional Dialogue Forum Airport Frankfurt, 2005-2008), my dissertation on "Procedural Politics: The Example Of Organized Dialogue" (2011), and the conception and organization of the debate on a new Statement of Principles of the Free Democratic Party, which was the largest informal participation process of any political party in Germany (2010-2012). I want to help people determine their own future through collective dialogic action. I think of transformational politics through participatory Organized Dialogue as a vital part of sustainable development, and an emancipatory project of civil society. I think the design of organized dialogue procedures as problem resolution procedures is an essential competence for effectivce social innovation, social investment, and societal change. I think of my field as Public Dialogue.
