Introduction UCAN provides consultation and professional development programs that promote an understanding of classroom assessment networks. Dr. Anderson’s professional experiences include K-12 teaching, supervision of staff, development of assessment programs, consultation to SEAs or LEAs, and full-time faculty for teacher education programs. The goal is to optimize teacher preparation and professional development and promote the mission of learning for all. A second doctoral program emphasized Organizational Leadership based on Effective Schools Research. An initial doctoral program at Boston University focused upon curriculum & teaching. Post-graduate special studies at Harvard University, a Master of Arts in applied psychology from New York University, and a Bachelor of Science in Special Education from Baruch College-CUNY rounds a diverse academic background. As faculty at Southwest Minnesota State University, member of MN Transfer Pathway Workgroups, and JITP editor, educational mandates and theories become effective best practice through intentionality, care, optimism, respect, and trust. Monthly blog posts will exhibit this invitational mindset and educational philosophy.
