| Introduction | I started this blog in 2008 to share a mother's thoughts as my daughter Margot worked to earn a spot on the 2008 Olympic team. Margot achieved her goal and her father, John, and her older brother, Nathan, and I joined her in Beijing for a thrilling week. I continued the blog to capture events leading to the selection process for the 2012 Olympics. In May, 2010, I was diagnosed with cancer so I'm combining this blog -- after a long intermission -- with some health updates for my family and friends and a prayer list that I am happy to add to - just send me names. I know that so far I have been very blessed in my life so maybe I can spread a few blessings by sharing these stories as well. My children are my inspiration. |
