Introduction	Why I foster: Every so often someone will ask me how I can give up the dogs I foster. This is my answer: When I started fostering, I had two dogs of my own and I knew I couldn't keep three dogs, so I knew going in I was going to let them go. I know I'm letting them go to a good home and I'm helping someone else find a great dog! It's still hard, but a great way to touch more dogs than I will ever own. Cast of permanent characters: Me (Chris), 53, chief bottle washer; KJ, 15, my son; Brett, 4, Catahoula mix; Speedo, 6, all-purpose cat; Lily, 2, cat; Rune, 3, Magpie Harlequin rabbit; Kane 3, brown bunny and Woodson, 1. We started fostering collies for MWCR in June of 2009.
