| Introduction | I’m a wife, mother, grandmother, and teacher. I had the good fortune to be raised as a reader, with weekly visits to our local public library. My love of reading and children have dove-tailed many times throughout my life - as a babysitter, a tutor, a childrens’ tour docent at St. Louis Public Library, along with many years as an elementary school library volunteer. Today, as a school librarian I am able to share my love of books and reading with children ages 2 to 12. Though I’ve chosen the books listed here because I love them, they are tried-and-true tested and enjoyed by the children I teach as well as my grandchildren Riley, Jack, and Campbell Michelle. |
