Introduction | I am a professional genealogist working at www.maxwellancestry.com. I live in Southern Scotland but work regularly in the National Records of Scotland in Edinburgh. We index and transcribe records which can help you follow your family tree. We have various free online databases and these are updated regularly. At the moment we have a census search, a prison search and a sheriff court search but more wil be coming shortly. If you are researching your own family tree but have hit a roadblock contact us as we may be able to use our experience to get you over your problem and back on the road again. I use my love of photography for genealogical purposes too: either taking a photo of your ancestral home or the area they worked and lived in. I am an administrator of the ipernity Scotland group. This blog will help you keep up-to-date with our free resources, paid for resources, genealogy packages as well as other little pieces of genealogical information that I find along the way. |
