Introduction	In 1992 we were blessed with our miracle, Emily. She was born with a congenital heart defect called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS). Basically, she was born with only half of her heart. I (her mom) created this blog as a means to keep our family and friends updated on her progress. It is also my prayer that Emily’s story may be an encouragement to other HLHS families, and an awesome testimony to God! She is a very sweet and happy teenager whose strength and faith are an inspiration to me - I hope that you too are encouraged by Emily's journey!
