| Introduction | Did you ever feel like you belong to a club you never asked to join? That's how it goes when fertility issues arise isn't it? Suddenly I'm avoiding friends with kids and anyone pregnant..forget about it! I will be happy for you from a distance - but can't bear the gripes about morning sickness et al. Just over two years ago I lost my angel boy at two weeks old due to complications of being born prematurely. I had an emergency caesarian at 27 weeks as I had pre-eclampsia. We were incredibly lucky as I became pregnant on our first IVF attempt on my 41st birthday and thought our lives would be blessed for ever. BUT this was not to be, within 6 months I had lost my Dad at a mere 61 and our angel boy at 2 weeks. The past two years have been a journey of faith, hope and constant searching to find a reason to get up and go through each day. As best we could, we have gone on with all our other plans including trying for more children but that has been unsuccessful so far. 2007 brings some fresh hope! |
