| Introduction | A little background about me... I am originally from a small town near Niagara Falls, NY. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Elementary Education from SUNY Brockport. I received my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction (grades K-8) from Central Michigan University. Then in 2008 I received my Specialist Degree in Administration from Lincoln Memorial in Tennessee. Some day I would like to be a principal but I just can't leave the classroom yet:) I started teaching 3rd grade in Maryland and then moved to Georgia. I have been teaching at Keheley since 2000 and have taught Kindergarten through 4th grades. I also taught 5th and 6th grade summer school at other schools in Cobb County. I loved teaching the little ones because every day was so exciting and new. In the higher grades we move from 'learning to read' into 'reading to learn' and that is so exciting. They learn independence, responsibility, and build strong friendships. I am so thankful for all of my experiences because they have helped me to grow as an educator and a person! |
