| Introduction | I have been a Prison Officer since 2005. I used to be a Special Constable with Avon and Somerset, but they would not have me full time because i am a white heterosexual male (dont get me started). In 2008 I joined the British Transport Police, but left 3 months into my training, totaly disillusioned with modern policing, to return to the prison service. I realised that the job is now all about bureaucracy, bean counting, personal careers and agenda's instead of Police work and law enforcement. The process of crime administration, and political policy is now more important than crime solving and justice for victims. |
