| Introduction | I work in the world of children's literature, as an author, illustrator, translator and editor, for Italian and foreign publishing houses. And as an educator, I organize workshops and theatrical performances to introduce children to reading, as well as creating and managing conferences and seminars to promote reading in order to improve the literacy level at school (list of principale events and workshop on Barrueca.blogspot.it). My research and articles are present in literary magazines for children and on my blogs BROedizioni and Barrueca. In 2012, in recognition of my cultural promotion activities, I received the Årets Sverigeframjare Prize from the Swedish Ambassadress, Ruth Jacoby. In 2014 I debuted as an author in Sweden with a novel for children co-authored with the renowned writer Martin Widmark. Living and learning about new countries, it helps me to grow professionally, creating positive cultural exchanges with my country, especially in the educational field. |
