| Introduction | Hello, my name is Shannon Corpron, and I teach high school English at Xavier Charter School. Over a period of 30 years, my husband Ken and I have lived in Seattle (where our daughter, Anna, was born), Indonesia, (where our son, Ben, was born), Thailand (where I taught at a small school for Schlumberger Oil Company), India (where I taught at the American International School Chennai), Idaho (where I taught at Popplewell Elementary School), and Madagascar (where I taught English to adults in the village of Besakoa). I have a BA in English and fifth year teaching certification from the University of Washington, as well as a Masters of Education in educational technology from Idaho State University. I am a founding member and current board member of the SHAMA FOUNDATION, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The Shama Foundation (www.shamafoundation.org) raises money for scholarships for underprivileged students in Madagascar. I love teaching and am excited to be a part of the Xavier Charter School family. |
