| Introduction | This semester I am student teaching as one of the final pieces to my Master's in Teaching. It's odd...I'll be paying my accrediting institution to basically have a job. It seems backwards, but I couldn't be more excited. I know this is what I'm supposed to be doing - not everyone can say that they have found their calling. I feel lucky to. For the last 2.5 years, I was a preschool teacher in Eden Prairie. The day to day of working with 20 four year-olds ranged from humorous to frustrating to simply silly. Their natural ability and desire to learn encouraged me to continue with teaching. In my free time, I try to read for pleasure, though that's looking like less of a possibility this semester. Other than that and school, I enjoy working out at the gym. It's seems sad, but that's about all I do/have time for. The occasional movie is a treat. From this media writing class, I hope to really establish my blog, write for fun and in pursuit of remaining creative (something I don't do often enough amidst the busyness of school), and really hone my AP knowledge...all things I know will be useful to me in my future or current classroom. |
