| Introduction | I am a thirty-three year old male and have realized from the time I was fifteen that I am attracted to men. I was born and raised in the church -- a very conservative environment in which my father made his profession and my mother was intensely involved. The Bible tells me that homosexuality is wrong, but I'm not convinced that the churches present interpretation of these scriptures is correct. However, I am also not convinced that the modern day gay man's rejection of these scriptures is correct either. I am on a quest to find the happy medium; that place in which I can be fully human and fully encompassed by God's grace. There is far more to me than my sexual orientation, but I have chosen this place as the forum from which I will explore my thoughts, ideas and opinions pertaining to my struggle. |
