He retired from the U.S. Federal Government in August 2000, after working over 38 years at the U.S. Department of Transportation. He is an Ordained Minister and holds: a Ph.D. in Christian Biblical Studies; a Ph.D. in Religion; and an Honorary Doctor of Divinity Degree.
