Introduction I'm a former newspaper reporter and editor, with a liberal arts background. As such, I'm an outsider to science. But science, along with every other discipline, needs the corrective of outsider critiques. I see this as my role. In a small way, i want to be part of the salutary process that keeps science honest. I intend to point out the over-reaching on the part of some scientists whose sweeping generalizations about the nature of reality, though presented as ultimate "truth," fall far short of that mark. My problem is not evidence-based science. It's epistemologically dubious statements that I object to. When I come across one, I will write a blog post. I think this is a noble calling.
