Introduction Ben Goldman is an award-winning artist, activist, author and entrepreneur. He is president of United Visual Arts LLC and executive director of City Without Walls (cWOW), New Jersey's oldest non-profit contemporary art gallery. His paintings have exhibited in museums and galleries throughout the world, including the Allied Museum in Berlin and Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. Dr. Goldman served as an advisor to the Clinton Administration, and has directed and consulted for dozens of organizations. He helped transform the environmental movement by coauthoring the landmark study that launched the field of "environmental justice," and championed the first amendment as president of Public Data Access, advocating for the first congressionally mandated online public information system and winning a precedent-setting federal court battle over access to congressional finances. Among his books are Sustainable America (U.S. Economic Development Administration 1995) and The Truth About Where You Live (Random House 1992). Dr. Goldman’s PhD is from New York University and AB from Vassar College.
