| Introduction | I wrote this journal while working with my husband Grant on an Adelie Penguin research project (www.penguinscience.com) on Ross Island, Antarctica, between 2005 and 2008. In 2008 Grant and I had a baby, so I'm currently on temporary leave from field work. Grant is returning to Antarctica in 2009 and will keep updating the blog.
