Introduction | I am the wife of one, mother of two, redeemed sinner. I love clever wordplay, serious discussions, British humor, sincere people, and True Love. I am a transplant from the east coast to the west coast, living in the PNW and learning to be the Face of Christ in this different-from-me culture. Our family has been Army Strong for 8 years, and now we're entering a new phase with the Air Force Reserves, and college (thank you, G.I. Bill!). I enjoy teaching Suzuki piano, honest conversation, gardening, my girlies, learning about natural nutrition, gourmet food, Prayer, Coffee, and the Word of God. |
Interests | Teaching Suzuki Piano, Being a mother, Writing, Laying my Life down for my Husband, Bargain Shopping, Interior Design |
Favorite Movies | LOTR Trilogy, Man Who Knew Too Little, Les Miserables, The Tenant of Wildfell Hall, Gladiator, Gone in 60 Seconds, Watchmen, Tombstone |
Favorite Music | Bach. Debussy. Corelli. Brubeck. Connick, Jr. Nina Simone. Maroon 5. Dave Matthews. The Avett Brothers, Iron & Wine, The Proclaimers, Pearl Django. Others, depending on my mood, the time of day, and what I'm doing. Generally, however, I play nameless "thinking" music in the background, and the music I really love is that which I play or sing. Oh, I must add Raffi. Raffi is on all day, every day. |
Favorite Books | How about genre? I've read so many....so many favorites. I love mysteries, especially British ones. Love the classics, too...all the Brontes, Dickens, Jane Austen, even Fitzgerald (but on a budget, of course). I also read a lot of practical books (more than ever these days) about child training, marriage, and Christian "inspiration, " I believe they're called. Like, John Piper, John Elderidge, Emerson Eggerichs. |
