Introduction	Hello :) My name is Lauren and I am a junior at Purdue University studying Speech Therapy and Spanish. I hadn't always wanted to double major in Spanish, but I was introduced to an amazing path I could take in grad school. I could go to grad school to become a bilingual slp and work with children who are learning to speak two different languages. I have taken Spanish since I was in 8th grade, but not until college did I really begin to love the language. Purdue offers a wonderful program called service learning that allowed me to help Spanish speakers learn English. I think this is when I realized I wanted to be able to do more than take enough spanish classes to get my minor, but actually become fluent and help the children who must overcome the difficult obstacles of speaking two langauges with a speech disorder. This desire along with wanting to see and travel the world has led me to study abroad in the historic and beautiful Sevilla, Espana :)
