| Introduction | Well, in my real, actual life, I am the stay-at-home mom to two amazing kids, husband to a great guy, part-time freelance writer for a local magazine, and part-time waitress. But in the life of my imagining, I am also an artist. Here's the thing...I'm not really an artist. I like to make stuff. I used to act. I write for money (but not a lot). The thing is, I'm starting to think that with some daring and effort, I can create a life that incorporates art. An artful life of sorts. Art makes me feel whole. I define art loosely...creating and making and putting together. Can I make a living at it? Who knows? But can I make a life at it? That's the question I'm trying to answer (but I'm betting yes!) |
