| Introduction | I have recently returned to the beautiful South, closer to my family, and continuing my work as a Child Life Specialist in a Child Advocacy Center, supporting children and families encountering alleged child neglect, as well as physical and sexual abuse. I am forever indebted to the smallest of patients, who continue to teach me larger than life lessons. I continue to be humbled by the opportunities that God has provided me with, including planning for a future with a wonderful man who truly completes me. I am blessed with wonderful friends and am easily lost in a good book. I can become just as mesmerized by music, dance, and cupcakes. If given the opportunity, I would return to my childhood love of horseback riding. I am the owner of a slightly neurotic but thoroughly entertaining cat named Piper who tends to know when I'm feeling lonely. I believe that our life paths are charted by a plan so much greater than ourselves. For now, I still enjoy the ride! |
