| Introduction | Hi readers! My name is Ellie and I am a mom, the wife of a disabled Navy combat veteran, a pinup model, a makeup artist and a fine artist. It would be a bit cliche to say that I enjoy long walks on the beach so I won't say that because well, I don't. I'm a country girl who enjoys being outside (if it isn't too cold or sweltering), cuddling with her cat, going to car shows and reading. I am constantly reading and researching. I'm a huge history buff and a compulsive vintage collector. I also collect car memorabilia and it is all in my kitchen. It is only fitting for me, a car enthusiast, to enjoy cooking and baking in a room surrounded by my love of cars. While I'm in there I can whip up a mean molasses marble bread from a 1950s recipe that is out of this world. My friends get great homemade baked goodies every Christmas from heirloom cookies to warm bread. I'm generous to a fault, a little too blunt and I suffer from everlasting foot-in-mouth syndrome. |
