He grew up on the flatlands and tidal rivers arond the small town of Tappahannock, however, he learned the intracacies of the landscaping world in the Rocky Montain west, working for firms in Boulder, CO and Whitefish, MT. Walter and his wife Suzanna eventually came to realize that Rockbridge County would be an ideal place to settle down. Fond memories of the area produced by his VMI alumni father and trips on the Maury and James while earning his degree in Geographic Science at nearby James Madison University, made this an easy decision. Mortarless stone work and naturalistic plantings have become Walter's specialties over the years. But any job where attention to detail, professional knowledge, and years of experience are needed is the time to get in touch with Walter. |
