About me

Introduction K10 is a former equity option's market maker who used to be repo trader in the money markets with an MBA from a top 5 business school. K10 firmly believes that no other human being has this combination of experience. Repo traders are not highly regarded in the world of finance. They are the lowest on the fixed income totem poll. However, the repo market greases Wall Street's wheels, and it is why K10 has a very sophisticated understanding of how investment banks function. Floor traders are the lowest of the low of the derivatives world. However, good floor traders understand how to manage risk and, more importantly, how to be incredibly paranoid about insider trading. As an MBA, K10 learned fundamental analysis, financial engineering, marketing, strategy, finance and accounting. Fundamental analysis means nothing unless you've stood on a trading floor and watched equity volatility spike to 50 while well respected companies go bust. It means nothing when you have a credit person from your bank tell you not to trade with a counter-party who you thought was more credit worthy than your employer. K10 is always skeptical and likes mockery.
