Esittely	I am Jean Cantley Phelps, the only child of Audrey Seekford and Bernard Cantley. I’m the family historian of the family after taking up the mantle from my mother, who had started research on her own family and my fathers family. Over the past 30 years I have been researching and redoing four undocumented Family History genealogies on my mothers and fathers family, as well as my husbands.. By undocumented they were done before computers, usually by writing to relatives or friends that would give information of what they remembered. The information has not been verified with census records, birth, death, marriage or divorce records, that you can get online now through state libraries and other services like Family Search and Ancestry. Along the way I have learned a lot hints and tricks and have made some interesting discoveries and have debunked some family myths. So I’ve decided to write a blog and share more of what I have found. I hope you’ll enjoy it.
