Introduction I am a mom, a wife, a professional artist, and disabilities advocate. I was born with a physical disability. I can also add depression and anxiety to my life resume. I am tired of western society treating me as though I am invisible. I am only invisible because the built world is inaccessible. I have an interior design degree and I see the possibilities for improvement everywhere. I expect the world to catch up to me. I think that people with disabilities are the last minority to be recognized. It's about economics and a collective societal lack of empathy and education. These things can change. They are changing thanks to an aging baby boomer population accustomed to a world that they have always moved freely in. They have money and they know that they have the right to expect the world to change for them. As a result it offers us younger folks the possibility of also being heard. Is it fair? No. I would like to be heard because I I have something to say. I have a lot to say.
