| Introduction | I am Fethi Karakecili – Artistic Director, dancer, choreographer, educator and scholar. Currently I am a PhD candidate in Ethnomusicology at York University. I have been working in the field of Turkish, Kurdish and Middle Eastern dance and music for over 30 years. I have performed and competed internationally several times. I have appeared across numerous media outlets (CTV, CityTV, Toronto Star, Now Magazine, Omni TV, CBC Radio, etc.) in Canada.
