Introduction	My name is Ashley, and I am a student at the University of Rhode Island. This is a weblog that I've created for my online writing course this Fall semester. I am an avid seamstress and "cosplayer." "Cosplay" stems from the word "costume" and "play." Basically you can think of it as an amateur "theater." It has hand-made costumes, skits, props, and so on usually from Japanese pop culture series like anime TV shows, comic books, video games and so on. I've been sewing costumes and doing prop work since 2006. I showcase my costumes I sew at competitions, anime conventions, parties, professional photo shoots, and other events. I want to show by example my hard work, talent and effort that will accumulate into the completion of my costume. So I will explain, explore and showcase my progress of making "cosplay" costumes during my hectic school semester. Hopefully I can enlighten you, the readers of my blog, about the joys, obstacles, and triumphs of my cosplay adventures.
