IntroductionI purposefully live for and serve a faithful and forgiving God • I am content and thankful to have a husband whom I have loved for 20 years - and yet but a moment • I am joyfully blessed to home school three beautiful hearts decidedly set on pilgrimage • I am desperately and passionately trying to Write The Vision • I am a daughter, sister, cousin, friend gratefully honored by any opportunity to cheer others along in our daily journey to the foot of the cross •• With the unfailing love of God, the perfect example of Christ, and the gentle leading of the Spirit, I hope to be tremendously successful at all of the above...But, I may never get to TREMENDOUS. There are days that I would be happy with PARTIALLY SUCCESSFUL. In the meantime, I continue to rest my faith where it has never had reason to waver, where I know it is most protected: under the wing of my Lord. What could be more TREMENDOUS than that?
InterestsWalking with the Lord; sharing Christ's love with others; my awesome husband and children; the best church we've ever attended: Desperation Church; Christian classical home school education; writing; reading; graphic design; travel; music; movies; sports (Go Broncos! Boomer Sooner!)
Favorite moviesThis is a hard question to answer because there are SO MANY (and always new ones to add to the list...), so I had to ask for my husband's help. Here were his suggestions, in order. (Please take note of my comment at the end.): High School Musical 1-3, The Notebook, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, Legally Blonde, Sound of Music, and all of Ryan's favorite movies. LOL! He suggested a few more which I wouldn't consider Favorites, so I didn't include them. Otherwise, I generally agree with his assessment but would like to note that the reason HIS list heavily favors so-called Chick Flicks is because SOMEONE has to be the voice of balance around here! If Ryan was the all-time movie-master J, the only movies that would air in the Baldi household would be Star Wars, Matrix, Die Hard, and Bourne series, all of which are fine (I would even consider the Bourne and Die Hard series to be some of my favorites). I also have to add the following to my list: Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, The Maltese Falcon, Rashomon, Spartacus, Chariots of Fire, Singin' in the Rain, Roman Holiday, The Sting, Shawshank Redemption, Black Hawk Down, The Pianist, Good Will Hunting, and documentaries, as a genre. And, although technically not a Movie, if you've never seen a Brian Regan comedy video, you MUST SEE one of those immediately. He's a family-friendly comic and, if you could see him live (which we hope to one day), even better! The only other thing I'll say about the Favorite Movie category is: Hooray for live-streaming Netflix!
