Introduction	As a child, if I wasn't drawing or painting, than I was designing or creating something; costumes, clothing, stuffed animals, pillows, my doll’s dresses…anything to do with fabric…I LOVE fabric. My Mother, once a sample maker for a Boston fashion designer, would do the sewing for me. She was my inspiration and why I chose to pursue a career in fashion design. She also taught me how to sew using factory and couture techniques. She was my biggest cheerleader - thanks Mom! Another inspiration, and the catalyst for Sexy Skins, came when I received my motorcycle endorsement in 2004. I became hooked on riding, and wanted to look stylish while doing it, but had a difficult time finding leather that fit me right. I purchased some leather, and designed something that hugged the curves and would also be comfortable and functional to wear while on the scoot. I made a few pieces and wore them to bike rallies and biker events. I felt so good and I looked great. I thought, every woman needs to feel this good! And when women stopped to ask where I got what I was wearing, the light went off and Sexy Skins was born.
