| Introduction | I'm a third generation Houstonian, a very rare breed. I grew up in a Houston that cherished its diversity. Wharton Elementary and 1st-gen Americans shared this new culture - along with home-made fortune cookies, baklava, challah, and Russian sweet breads. That laid a foundation for embracing the richness of "multi-cultural" life. TCU (go Frogs!), Augsburg, and everything since then has only strengthened the conviction that life among DIVERSE friends is a life worth living. |
