Introduction | I'm a semi-retired industrial editor (one calls that 'corporate journalist' these days), who worked in the oil industry a very long time ago and as an independent copywriter/editor/book author for a pretty long time as well. I still remember typewriters, the very first IBM PC, the first laptops and the beginning of the World Wide Web. And no smartphones. While I worked in an oil company I became a certified science writer. The tools are different, good writing not really although it seems to be less appreciated these days. Apart from writing and editing I fly hot-air balloons. In my own area, a beautiful part of the Auvergne, I organize exclusive balloon flights for two in my small blue balloon. I obtained my balloon pilot's licence in 1986 and done some crazy things. Never a serious accident though. I always had some interest in edged tools (knives, axes and so on). As we live in a rural place with lots of trees to prune and firewood to prepare for our hearth, knowing how to use such tools is an important skill. I am still learning. Sometimes I may write about that, as well as about ballooning and other subjects that interest me. |

Aren't papier mache cuts the worst?
No, because paper mache is soft.
