| Introduction | Social affairs are something people learn to notice after a certain age, but in my case it has been innate. Being born into a family of a prolific journalist, writer and renowned social activist – Late Shri Dayanand Mukane and my father – a publisher, printer and journalist–Shri Prashant Mukane, groomed me to be alert to social causes since a very young age. My grandfather and father worked at a regional level but they have driven me to raise the bar. Even before crossing the porch of my high school - Bharti Vidyapeeth, I had decided to carry ahead the legacy of my grandfather – an ambition, always encouraged by my parents. Born in Jawhar town of Thane district– I grew up listening to serious conversations of local and regional issues at my home. Perhaps, I had that "nose for news" since childhood which impelled me to sit and listen to their discussions. Due to that eagerness I entered into hardcore journalism and worked with some of the nominated media groups in Mumbai. I have worked with Navshakti newspaper of Free Press Journal Group,Planman Media – The Sunday Indian & currently,I am working with US-Asia Trade Magazine. ID: info@pratikmukane.com |
