About me

Occupation Researcher at Aalto University School of Economics
Location Helsinki, Finland
Introduction I am a newly graduated PhD from the Aalto University School of Economics. I am interested in consumer culture, new media, and research methodology. This is also why I decided to co-write this blog; audiovisual aspects in culturally-oriented research play a crucial role. However, not until quite recently, researchers have adopted audiovisual techniques such as using video for representing their research. Together with my co-writer, Joel Hietanen, we believe the increasing production of academic videographies need to be encouraged in the future. Our blog is designed for sharing our knowledge and experiences of academic filmmaking to anyone interested. We aim to report every now and then what's going on in the realm of this sort of academic business. We hope we can inspire others as well as put up some useful examples on how videographic research can be made. In addition, we are keen to hear your feedback on our films ;) Enjoy our blog! (I also teach master level business school courses on branding and strategic management, marketing research methods, and consumer behavior. Work experience as project manager and leader, development manager as well as management advisor.)
